The Chevrolet Traverse is a midsized crossover that’s known for its dependability, reliability, interior size, and value. The 2023 Chevy Traverse ticks all these boxes and has a very strong safety record. As a reliable family SUV, the Traverse leads the pack. We’d like to tell you more about what you can expect from your Chevy Traverse.

A Driver’s Guide to the 2023 Chevy Traverse

Engine and Transmission

There are six trim levels for the Traverse, but all use the same GM 3.6-liter direct-injection V6 engine. This powerful and dependable engine is marked to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The engine can make 60mph from a standing start in 6.8 seconds. While a faster start isn’t something most drivers look for in an SUV, it highlights the engine’s power.

Although the engine provides 310hp and 266 lbs of torque, it’s exceptionally silent. The Traverse is big, but its finely-tuned steering makes it easy to control, and the suspension will keep you comfy even on rough terrain.
